Lesson #1: There is no such thing as miracles. It’s called HARD WORK.
Lesson #2: Be NICE + APPRECIATIVE to the sample room. They will get shit done for you. Even at the 11th hour.
Lesson #3: When Mercury’s in retrograde, expect anything & everything to go wrong. And in this case, get 3 snowstorms in a matter of a week. Delaying every single thing.
"You have to do the hard things. The things that no one else is doing. The things that scare you. The things that make you wonder how much longer you can hold on. Those are the things that define you."
Things are looking up & everything happens for a reason. I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
As I sit here, on this beautiful September day, in Bryant Park enjoying the sun, it just occurred to me that perhaps 2013 is inevitably my year. I’ve quit my dead end job, gone to España & Italia, started a new job, and will soon be moving into my own place - in the East Village/Union Square. Isn’t that SOMETHING. There’s just one more thing. But everything’s falling into place & life is good.

"He smiled understandingly - much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life… It understood you just as far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself, and assured you that it had precisely the impression of you that, at your best, you hoped to convey." - F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
Came across this gorgeousness on my way to get caffeine
You are different, that’s for sure, but your uniqueness is something to celebrate, not something to deny.
Another ticket. To hopefully add to future opportunities.
